I have great news to share with you. The gradebook that Discovery Middle School will be using this year, ProgressBook, will allow you to go online and check your child's progress in his/her classes.
ProgressBook has several features that puts it at the top of the list of teacher gradebooks. It is a full-featured, completely secure Internet site that allows teachers to create accounts online and store their student’s scores.
ProgressBook has "the parent/student viewer" that allows you to log in and view only your child's grade. In order to use this feature, you will need to receive a password to access only your child's summary. In addition to viewing your child's progress, you can also click on links to see class policies, class announcements, assignment descriptions, and due dates. You can also email your child’s teachers whenever you have a question.
There are two ways to check your child's grade summary from each class. First, you can go to http://parentaccess.ocps.net and Login. You will need to enter the user name and password information then click Login. User name and password information can be obtained by calling your child's grade level office. If you are experiencing technical difficulties, please e-mail Mr. Qadri or Mr. Mosquera (click on a name to e-mail them). |
