The YMCA After School Zone at DMS consists of a variety of classes such as:

  • Artistic expression including drama, photography, and step.
  • Sports such as tennis, volleyball, kickball and basketball
  • Academic improvement such as homework and journalism
  • Just plain fun such as crafts, cooking, club fit, weight room, game room and movie class.

Classes meet once a week from 3:50 to 5:50 p.m. (2:50-5:50 p.m. on Wednesdays), and different classes are offered every day. Students are welcome to attend as many days as they wish. There is no cost to the student for the After School Zone.

Parents pick up their children at the main entrance on Woodbury at 6:00 p.m. Any children who are not picked up promptly will be charged $1.00 for each minute after 6:00.   We have open enrollment until classes reach their maximum class count. To enroll, students should contact the front office to get a schedule and registration form that will be filled out and signed by parents or guardians.
